Title:
DIGITAL-TO-ANALOG CONVERTER PROVIDED WITH PRECISE LINEAR OUTPUT FOR BOTH POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE INPUT VALUES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0621814
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the circuit and method which converts a digital numeral into an analog output signal in a state that both positive and negative analog output signals are generated accurately and precisely and that switches a weighting current denoting a positive binary number to a 1st operation amplifier for conversion into a proportional voltage level and switches a weighting current denoting a negative binary number to a 2nd operation amplifier. CONSTITUTION: A most significant digit bit in a digital numeral on an input line b7 , that is, a 'sign' bit activates a switch 27 and a current stored in other data bits and applied to input lines b0 -b6 is used to be switched to a chain consisting of operational amplifiers 15, 21 using a feedback resistor for the conversion into an output voltage with an amplitude and a sign corresponding to the input digital numeral. Furthermore, the decode circuit and method allow this circuit to provide an output voltage corresponding to the complement of the input digital numerical 2.
