Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a novel medicine which has high immunoactivating, antidiabetic and analgesic actions with reduced side effects, thus having high chemotherapeutic index, can be used for a prolonged period of time, and mass- produced in lowered production costs.
CONSTITUTION: A plant LPS positive to the limulus test, molecular weight: 5,000±2,000 (SDS electrophoresis); hexosamine number: 1-2/molecule; KDO number: 1-2/molecule; fatty acid number: 4±3/molecule. The medicine is prepared, for example, by extracting wheat flour with cold water under mixing, centrifuging the extract, subjecting the supernatant to ultrafiltration to remove the components of lower than 5000 molecular weight and freeze-drying the resultant concentrate.
