Abstract:

To efficiently make ice by taking an adhesion state of the ice to a heat exchanger into consideration, and thereby to achieve energy saving, in an ice thermal storage device.

In a thermal storage tank 2, a plate-shaped heat exchanger 3 is accommodated and water is stored. Ice is made on the external face of the heat exchanger 3 by making a refrigerant pass in a refrigerant passage 7 of the heat exchanger 3. An air supply pipe 19 is arranged at a bottom in the thermal storage tank 2 and injects air from a blower. The blower starts operation accompanied by the operation of a refrigerating device for circulating the refrigerant to the heat exchanger 3, continues the operation until ice having a set thickness is adhered to the heat exchanger 3, and after that, intermittently performs the operation. It has been taken into consideration that an operation effect of the blower is lowered even if water is stirred after the ice having the set thickness is adhered to the heat exchanger 3. However, by intermittently operating the blower, the dew condensation and corrosion of the blower can be prevented, and the clogging of an air injection hole 20 of the air supply pipe 19 can be prevented.
