Abstract:
To provide an identification system which can identify an IC card user with high probability.
Personal information recorded on an ID card 11 that a user shows is read by a card reader 12 and personal information recorded in a slave machine 17 for ID certification that the user carries is read by a reader 18. A comparing device 13 compares those pieces of personal information with each other and it is decided that the ID card 11 is effective when the comparison result shows matching. When not, on the other hand, a display device makes a display indicating that the card can not be used.
