Title:
IDLING SPEED CONTROL DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3423022
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an idling speed control device for an internal combustion engine, which can precisely control the idling speed by detecting an aging effect of the characteristic of a battery or an alternator.
CONSTITUTION: An idling speed control device is composed of an internal combustion engine 11, an ISC valve for controlling the intake-air volume during idling operation of the internal combustion engine, an alternator 13 driven by the engine, an IC regulator 14 for controlling the field current of the alternator, and a control device 15 for controlling the opening degree of the ISC valve. The control device measures a duty ratio of the field current of the alternator which is delivered from a test terminal of the IC regulator so as to detect an aging effect of the characteristics of the alternator and the battery, and increasingly compensates the opening degree of the ISC valve when an electric load is applied in an idling condition.
