Abstract:

To provide an ignition control device of an engine improving ignitability of an air-fuel mixture by generating various radicals.

The ignition control device of the engine 100 for promoting ignition of the air-fuel mixture by supplying radicals includes: a supply device 50 for generating non-equilibrium plasma discharge in a discharge chamber 55 provided facing the inside of a combustion chamber 13 or the inside of an intake passage 30 and supplying radicals; a fuel injection valve 32 for injecting fuel so that a portion of the injected fuel is supplied to the discharge chamber 55; and a control means 70 for controlling the supply device 50 so that the non-equilibrium plasma is discharged during an intake stroke and controlling the fuel injection valve 32 so that fuel is supplied to the discharge chamber 55 during the non-equilibrium plasma discharge.
