To adjust an optical output of a lighting system such that brightness of the lighting system does not vary even in the case that a plurality of lighting apparatuses are arranged and that great large excess and deficiency do not occur in brightness of a lighting space.
A plurality of brightness sensors 22 are arranged in a lighting space in which a lighting apparatus 21 is arranged. The brightness sensors 22 detect brightness of a plurality of places of the lighting space. An illumination control device 10 includes an acquisition part 11 for acquiring brightness values reflecting brightness of the lighting space detected by the brightness sensors 22. An operation part 12 of the illumination control device 10 calculates a representative value of a plurality of brightness values acquired from the plurality of brightness sensors 22 at prescribed acquisition timing by the acquisition part 11. A control part 13 instructs the lighting apparatus 21 about a light control value so as to keep the representative value within a target range in the case that the representative value calculated by the operation part 12 deviates from a regulated target range.
