To provide a communication unit that employs a double side transmission technology for the execution of transmission control so that a pair of original images on a front side and a rear side can be recorded on a front side and a rear side of one recording paper sheet thereby facilitating a reply operation by a receiver side.
While a read section 2 reads an image, a user uses an operation section 3 to designate a pair of original images to be recorded on a front side and a rear side of one recording paper sheet as a designation operation. In the operation above the user desires to include destination information required for return to a transmission station on a specific rear side as an image. A control section 1 conducts transmission control by which a pair of the designated original images on its front side and rear side can be recorded on the front side and the rear side of one recording paper sheet. Furthermore, the transmission station transmits the resulting image by adding the destination information required for a reply to the transmission station at a prescribed position of the original image as an image.
