Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain the transfer of the image data between a general terminal equipment and a G4 facsimile communication equipment by connecting an image controller to a host device which does not contain both coding and decoding means that are controlled by the G4 facsimile control means.
CONSTITUTION: The image data generated by a host device 1 are transferred to an image controller 2 based on the SCSI connection procedure. The controller 2 converts the received image data into the coded data by a coding means 23 based on the G4 facsimile control procedure and sends the coded data to a communication circuit network 3. Meanwhile the controller 2 decodes the code data received from the network 3 by a decoding means 24 based on the G4 facsimile control procedure and then transfers the decoded data to the device 1 as the image data through the SCSI connection procedure. Under such conditions, an SCSI control means 21 which secures the connection between the device 1 and the controller 2 receives a command produced by the device 1 and runs over the undesired parts in a reception processing state. Thus the device 1 can be the communication with a G4 facsimile equipment.
