To provide an image display device which makes a user intuitively operate a vehicle based on an auxiliary image displayed on a screen.
The image display device has an image processor 38 which displays a photographed image of a rear camera 28 on a monitor 21. The image processor 38 has an image composition processing means 38F which overlaps a perspective image that provides the feeling of a distance on a photographed image displayed on the monitor 21 and displays them, and a display mode setting means 38A which selects either a viewing filed fixing mode in which a perspective image is fixed in a viewing field of the monitor 21 for overlapped display and a road surface fixing mode in which the images are overlapped and displayed so as to be scrolled with the road surface.
