Title:
IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3293529
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect the behavior of a player on the purpose of the behavior of a displayed living character by controlling the display of an image display element of the character to be varied according to the count value of a counting means for counting stepping signals.
SOLUTION: When A or B switch is depressed to start a game, the walking screen of a turtle as a living character is displayed. CPU 1 accumulates stepping signals from a pendulum switch as a count value of a pedometer in a RAM 3. The accumulated count value is regarded as the number of walking steps to judge whether it is a designated number of steps or more. Here, the walking speed of the turtle is set, and the walking distance corresponding to the elapsed time is calculated and accumulated. When the total number of walking steps amounts to a designated number of steps or more, a display character changes into a man. Thus, the running distances of the turtle and the player are accumulated and stored in the RAM 3, and when the designated distance is accumulated, they reach a city in the midway of a route. At this time, alarm is issued as a buzzer according to the control of the CPU 1.
