To provide an image evaluation method capable of obtaining subjective evaluation of a picture image by small human labor in a short time.

A digital image to be evaluated is uploaded into a WEB server computer 10 through a network 1 of the Internet or Internet to ask unspecified evaluating persons 4, 5, 6 participating in the network to evaluate the picture image. The evaluating persons download the picture image for evaluation into computers 7, 8, 9 for evaluation from the WEB server computer, display it on a display unit to evaluate it, and transmit the results of evaluation to a computer 3 for person who is asked to evaluate from the computer from evaluation through the network by electronic mail. The persons who are asked to evalute sum up the collected results of evaluation and analyze them numerically to perform subjective evaluation of the picture image.
