To provide an image exposure device which can improve operation efficiency by eliminating an unpleasant feeling that an operator has in the wait time when an exposure part is started up.
The image exposure device is equipped with a laser engine 6 exposing a photographic material to an image and printing the image, a monitor 21 which displays the temperature control wait time in the start-up of the laser engine 6, a control part 20 which performs control for the monitor 21, and a communication means 22 which performs periodic communication between the control part 20 and laser engine 6, and informs the control part 20 via the communication means 22 that temperature control is in process when the laser engine 6 is started up and sends remaining-time data through the periodic communication to reflect the data on display on the monitor 21.
