Abstract:

To provide a fixing unit and an image forming device capable of making gross control on the output images in a simple configuration maintaining its fixability without changing the temperature or processing speed.

This fixing unit has a nip to hold and carry a recording medium, and fixes the images on the recording medium in the nip. It makes gross control inside the nip N by changing the peak position in the distribution of the pressure applied in the carrying direction of the recording medium.
