An image formation system 1 includes a network multifunction machine 3 capable of being in the energy-saving state, and an information processing terminal 5 which is connected to the network multifunction machine 3 through a LAN 41. Once receiving an electric power state request from the information processing terminal 5, the network multifunction machine 3 sends back electric power state information representing an electric power state of itself and low-power-consumption state transition time. The information processing terminal 5 sends out the device state request to the network multifunction machine 3 when the network multifunction machine 3 is in a normal electric power state or when the network multifunction machine 3 is in an extremely low power consumption state and the low power consumption state transition time is changed. The information processing terminal 5 stops sending out the device state request when the low power consumption state transition time is not updated.
