Abstract:
To perform suitable selection according to designated binding processing when selecting a holding part to be used out of a plurality of holding parts that hold a sheet on the basis of sheet size.SOLUTION: An MFP 101 accepts a job execution instruction (S1302). In a case of a job where a holding part is automatically selected, holding parts holding sheets that can be executed by binding processing designated by the job is set as holding part of a search target in automatic selection (S1404 to 1409). Auto paper selection (APS) is executed on the holding parts of the search target (S1411), and if there is a holding part to be a candidate, the sheet to be used for printing is fed from the holding part and the printing is executed (S1307). Meanwhile, if there is no holding part to be the candidate, a predetermined message is displayed and the job is canceled (S1305 to S1306).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
