Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To feed rolled paper at an appropriate feeding speed even when changes occur in a residual quantity of the rolled paper.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: image forming means in which a recording medium is rolled and wound to be held at a predetermined position, and in which an image is formed on the recording medium that is detached and fed from a roller; feeding means for feeding the recording medium to the image forming means; a motor 210 for driving the feeding means; and drive control means (a CPU 201 and a motor driver IC 211) for controlling the motor 210. The drive control means has a current detecting resistor 220 for detecting a potential difference at both ends on the basis of a current value that drives the motor 210, and AD converting means 221 for converting the potential difference detected by the current detecting resistor 220 so that it becomes readable, and thereby the drive control means performs variable control of drive power of the motor 210 on the basis of the potential difference converted by the AD converting means 221.
