Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a toner removal control method capable of, in the case of executing a full bleed printing function, appropriately removing toner according to the necessity of removal of the toner attached to both end parts of a recording sheet.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an image forming part 150 for forming a toner image on a recording sheet S by a full bleed printing mode; a fixing part 170 for fixing the toner image formed by the image forming part 150 on the recording sheet S; removal parts 200 and 210 provided in a sheet conveyance path between the image forming part 150 and the fixing part 170, contacting with both end parts of the recording sheet S in the sheet width direction orthogonal to the sheet conveyance direction, and removing toner attached to both end parts; and a control part 101 for controlling to change a contact position of both end parts of the recording sheet S and the removal parts 200 and 210 on the basis of image forming conditions (basis weight of the recording sheet S).
