Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect a lock state of a DC motor with an inexpensive configuration in an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A motor 41 is a DC motor with brush, and a motor drive part 42 controls a motor conduction current of the motor 41 on the basis of a motor control signal. A brush noise detection part 44 detects brush noise from the conduction current of the motor 41, and outputs a brush noise detection signal indicating detection timing of the brush noise. A speed specification part 45 specifies a time interval of the brush noise on the basis of the brush noise detection signal, and specifies a rotation speed of the motor 41 on the basis of the time interval. Then, a motor control part 43 determines whether or not the motor 41 is in a lock state, on the basis of the specified rotation speed, when supplying the motor control signal for operating the motor 41 to the motor drive part 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
