This image forming device is provided with the image forming device main body part 1 consisting of an image forming part 1a for forming a toner image on transfer material 3c, a fixing part 1b for thermally fixing the transfer material on which the toner image is formed, and a component mounted part 1c including a circuit to feed power to respective parts in the device and a circuit to perform control, and the transfer material housing part 1d for housing the transfer material 3c fed to the image forming part 1a. The device is constituted so that the housing part 1d is arranged upper than the main body part 1. Thus, a paper feeding cassette 1e in the housing part 1d is positioned high, so that a user need not replenish the housing part 1d with the transfer material 3c in a state where he (she) bends himself (herself) or sits down on his (her) heels, and easily handles the device.
