To perform multicolor printing by accurately aligning respective color dot images even when printing paper is shrunk by a thermal fixing means such as a heat roll, especially, in a multicolor electrophotographic printing device performing the multicolor printing while successively fixing the images by every color.
In a multicolor electrophotographic printing method for performing the multicolor printing while successively fixing the images by every color, a color test pattern where pixel deviation is caused by thermal shrinkage by passing through the thermal fixing means is compared with a reference test pattern obtained before passing through the thermal fixing means or set in advance so as to obtain the deviation of an interval between dots corresponding to the thermal shrinkage directly or by performing arithmetic operation and vary an interval between dot pixels in the main scanning direction of the pixel of a bit-map latent image formed on a photoreceptor drum corresponding to the deviation.
