PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a delay of the supply of the developer and the breakage of the driving motor of a development device and the gear thereof due to the fluctuation of a thickness of the mounting member for mounting a toner concentration sensor and the fluctuation of the output of the toner concentration sensor due to the fluctuation of the characteristics of an initial agent.SOLUTION: Input information of control means of an image forming device is provided with a primary calibration value for calibrating the fluctuation of characteristics of a toner concentration sensor or a secondary calibration value for calibrating the toner concentration detected after the supply of an initial agent by the toner concentration sensor mounted on a developer reservoir part to the predetermined toner concentration. When the input information of the primary calibration value is available, the development device is determined to be new, and the initial agent is supplied at a specific volume to the developer reservoir part from an initial agent storage part by driving the development device. When the input information of the primary calibration value is not available but the secondary calibration value is available, the development device is determined to be used, and whether the developer is supplied at a specific volume is determined based on the input information of the secondary calibration value and the output value of the toner concentration sensor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
