Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of volatile organic compounds emitted from an image forming apparatus compared with a case where the area of a flow passage of an airflow generated by airflow generation means is not regulated.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a fixing device 20 that heats a sheet on which a toner image is formed to fix the toner image to the sheet; a suction fan 110 and a first exhaust fan 120 that are adjacent to the fixing device 20 and generate a first airflow S directed to a first discharge port 102 through which an air is exhausted to the outside of an apparatus body from a suction port 101 through which an air is sucked from the outside of the apparatus body; and an airflow regulation member 200 that changes the area of a flow passage of the first airflow S generated by the suction fan 110 and the first exhaust fan 120 to cause volatile organic compounds m included in the airflow to collide with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
