PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an impact sound compared with a case where an impact absorbing material is not arranged at a part where an impact is generated.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus (U) comprising: a moving member (13) that can move between a first position and a second position different from the first position; a first stopping member (9) that is arranged corresponding to the first position and in contact with the moving member (13) to be stopped at the first position; a second stopping member (36) that is arranged corresponding to the second position and in contact with the moving member (13) to be stopped at the second position; a first impact absorbing material (48) that is arranged on at least one of the moving member (13) and the first stopping member (9) and absorbs an impact at the contact; and a second impact absorbing material (47) that is arranged on at least one of the moving member (13) and the second stopping member (36) and absorbs an impact at the contact.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
