Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device that allows an operation equivalent to that upon normal usage to be performed regardless of usage environments in the switching device to be used in an electronic instrument usable underwater.SOLUTION: A switching device comprises: an elastic member 32 that has a first a contact point 34 to be displaced to a first position when receiving a first amount of force and for outputting a first signal, and a second contact point 36 passing through the first position, and to be displaced to a second position when receiving a second amount of force greater than the first amount of force; an electric substrate 31 that has a first contact point pattern 35 contacting with the first contact point to output the first signal, and a second contact point pattern 37 contacting with the second contact point to output the second signal; and a detector 14 that detects an underwater depth; and control means 20 that, when the detector does not detect a prescribed underwater depth, causes a prescribed operation of the electronic instrument to be performed on the basis of the first signal, and when the detector detects the prescribed underwater depth, causes the prescribed operation of the electronic instrument to be performed on the basis of the second signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
