Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly correct a measured toner density, so as to suppress an error caused by the arrangement variation of a sensor.SOLUTION: The light-receiving elements 12 and 13 of a sensor 8 receive reflection light from a toner pattern or the surface of an intermediate transfer belt 4. A sensor light quantity control part applies a control voltage to the light source 11 of the sensor 8 and controls the light quantity of the light source 11. A density specification part specifies a toner density on the basis of the output of the light-receiving elements 12 and 13. The density specification part specifies the primary coefficients of the output voltages of the light-receiving elements 12 and 13 corresponding to the reflection light from the surface of the intermediate transfer belt 4 with respect to the control voltage of a light-emitting element 11 as a correction parameter G (a), specifies a correction amount corresponding to the correction parameter G and the toner density (b), and corrects the toner density on the basis of the correction amount (c).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
