Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of achieving ensured detection of floating of a recording medium with a configuration as simple as possible.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus according to the present invention comprises: an image forming unit for forming an image on a recording medium; a transport unit transporting the recording medium while opposing the recording medium to the image forming unit; a plurality of movable units provided in parallel in a direction orthogonal to a transport direction of the recording medium upstream of the image forming unit in the transport direction of the recording medium, and contacting a floating portion possibly generated in the recording medium to be individually displaced; and one displacement detector provided commonly to the plurality of movable units, and detecting displacement if at least one of the movable units is displaced.
