Abstract:
To reduce the possibility that a failure in conveyance of a sheet occurs due to adhesion of a powder adhesive.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus has: an apparatus main body including image forming means, fixing means that heats toner images and a powder adhesive applied to the sheet to fix them to the sheet, and ejection means that ejects the sheet passing through the fixing means; folding means that folds the sheet ejected from the apparatus main body; bonding means that heats the sheet folded by the folding means to bond the sheet with the powder adhesive; a loading unit on which the sheet is loaded which is ejected from the apparatus main body and subsequently does not pass through the folding means and the bonding means; and a switching member that is provided outside the apparatus main body and arranged downstream of the ejection means in a sheet conveyance direction, and switches a conveyance path of the sheet to a first path directed to the loading unit and a second path directed to the folding means. The switching member is arranged at a position opened toward a space above the image forming apparatus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
