To provide an image forming method and an image forming apparatus capable of forming a stereoscopic image by a method completely different from conventional methods, that is, to provide a stereoscopic image, in which height of the image can be easily controlled, good adhesiveness between a toner and a sheet is obtained and good reproducibility is achieved.
The image forming method is carried out by using a toner that establishes, in DSC measurement of the toner, a relationship of 30≥T1-T2≥10 for the difference T1-T2 between a temperature T1 at an endothermic peak in the first temperature elevation period and a temperature T2 at an exothermic peak in the first temperature descending period. The method includes: a step of forming an electrostatic latent image on an image carrier; a developing step of developing the electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier with the toner; a step of transferring the obtained toner image onto a recording medium; and a fixing step of fixing the toner image on the recording medium. The fixing step includes a step of forming a stereoscopic image by pressing a stereoscopic image forming part having recessed/protruding portions to the toner image before solidification, after the toner image is molten and before the image is solidified and fixed.
