Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an image output device having a storage means whose necessary capacity is extremely small even in the case of multi-gradation level, high-resolution and large-sized output.
CONSTITUTION: An image output device which outputs document data as raster data is provided with a transformation means 11 or 41 which transforms at least one of font data, graphic data and image data as the element of the document data to the coordinate data of run length, a sort means (section data sort part) 43 which sorts the transformed coordinate data in order of the scanning line of an output means 51, the storage means (section data memory) 44 which stores the sorted coordinate data, and an output control means (video signal generation part) 45 which outputs the raster data based on the coordinate data read out from the storage means in synchronism with the scanning of the output means.
