Title:
IMAGE PICKUP METHOD FOR STEREOSCOPIC TELEVISION UTILIZING PARALLAX
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5737994
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain stereoscopic effect by a visual afterimage phenomenon by continuously synthesizing object images, obtained by two image pickup tubes, in every frame by turns.

CONSTITUTION: A light beam from an object to be picked up is supplied to image pickup tubes 3 and 4 through the lenses 1 and 2 of two television image pickup parts having parallax. Since the scanning parts 7 and 8 of the image pickup tubes 3 and 4 are provided with a common vertical flyback alternate delay circuit 9, object images obtained by the image pickup tubes 3 and 4 are scanned by turns in every frame. The outputs of the two image pickup tubes 3 and 4 having completed scanning by turns are synthesized by a video signal synthesizer 12. When the resulting output is reproduced by an ordinary television receiver, two images having the parallax are obtained continuously by turns, so stereoscopic effect is obtained by a visual afterimage effect.
