Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an unnecessary image processing time by enabling a judgement of image overlaps using a small processing amount for judgement.
SOLUTION: An overlap judgement processing is conducted only to rectangle drawing of graphics and a drawing command is conducted only to adjacent graphics. PDL data input in a printer controller 2 is input to an interpreter 10. The PDL data is interpreted into intermediate data which is suitable to a drawing processing and then stored in an intermediate data memory 20. The intermediate data is judged whether the data has overlaps with the proximate graphic by a graphic overlap processing part 3 using rectangle data stored in a proximate graphic data memory 21 by a graphic overlap judgement part 11 before drawing on a page memory 23 by a graphic drawing processing part 12. If an overlap exists, coordinate data of the overlapped area of the proximate graphic data is modified. If the intermediate data is not rectangle drawing, data is not modified.
