Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an image of better image quality to be obtained.SOLUTION: A color discrimination part 51 detects a specific color area from an input image. A boundary region setting part 52 generates boundary information showing a boundary of the specific color area on the basis of a detection result of the specific color area. An edge identification part 61 calculates a luminance feature amount related to luminance from an input image. A mixing ratio determination part 62 determines a mixing ratio on the basis of a detection result and luminance feature amount of the specific color area. An averaging part 63 performs filter processing to the input image on the basis of the boundary information, the luminance feature amount, and the mixing ratio, and outputs a smoothing image obtained as a result. A mixing part 64 mixes the smoothing image and the input image on the basis of the mixing ratio. The current technology is applicable to a digital camera.
