The image processor includes: a memory control part 2 for storing input image data in a memory 18; a moving detection processing part 4 for detecting a moving vector in the image data read from the memory through the memory control part 2; a face region detection processing part 6 for acquiring face region position information by operating face region detection based on the image data read from the memory; and a face region correction means (CPU) 17 for calculating the prediction moving quantity between frames based on the moving vector detected by the movement detection processing part 4, and for searching the prediction face region position information by adding the prediction moving quantity to the face region position information acquired by the face region detection processing part 6.
