An image display 100 includes a scale converting section 123 for scale-converting an image signal of a first resolution into an image signal of a second resolution higher than the first resolution, a flash memory 23 for storing a graphics image of the second resolution, and a high-resolution section 13 for performing super-resolution conversion processing of restoring an image signal of a third resolution higher than the second resolution by increasing a pixel by estimating an original pixel value from the image signal of the second resolution overlaid by the graphics image.
