A database 22 is configured to store a plurality of image data to which image pickup dates have been added as attribute information. A list display part 12 is configured to display the thumb nail images of a plurality of image data in the form of a list on a display device. An instruction acceptance part 20 is configured to acquire one thumb nail image among the thumb nail images as a designated image. An image classification part 16 is configured to generate one or more image groups by grouping a plurality of image data by using years when the image data have been picked up as units. A representative image selection part 14 is configured to acquire image data whose pickup date is identical or proximate to that of the image data corresponding to the designated image from among each image group generated by the image classification part 16 as the representative image of each image group. The list display part 12 is configured to display the image groups in the form of a list for each year according as the representative image of each image group is acquired by the representative image selection part 14 as a trigger, and to arrange and display the representative image at the leading of each image group.
