An image reading apparatus includes: a driving part 30 arranged at one end side in a width direction of a sheet 9 to be conveyed; a first reading part 100 arranged so as to be opposite to a conveying path P1; a second reading part 200 and a circuit board 5 arranged on a side opposite to the first reading part 100 across the conveying path P1; a first wiring cable 110 electrically connecting a first terminal part 105 arranged in the first reading part 100 with the circuit board 5; a second wiring cable 210 electrically connecting a second terminal part 205 arranged in the second reading path 200 with the circuit board 5; a first terminal part 105 arranged on the other end side 100R in a width direction of the first reading part 100; and a second terminal part 205 arranged on one end side 200L in a width direction of the second reading path 200. The first wiring cable 110 is connected to the circuit board 5 after bypassing the conveying path P1 on the other end side in its width direction. The second wiring cable 210 is connected to the circuit board 5 on one end side in its width direction.
