An image scanner device 20 includes a plurality of feed rollers for delivering the document along a document delivery passage, and these feed rollers are driven by a first motor 201. Clutches 58 and 66 can switch between transmission and interruption of the power of the first motor 201 transmitted by a transmission gear group 71, with respect to these feed rollers. In single side reading mode, a controller included in the image scanner device 20 transmits the power generated by the first motor 201 to the feed roller dedicated to single side reading among the plurality of feed rollers, and controls the clutches 58 and 66 not to transmit the power to the roller dedicated to double side reading. In double side reading mode, the controller transmits the power generated by the first motor 201 to the roller dedicated to double side reading, and controls the clutches 58 and 66 not to transmit the power to the roller dedicated to single side reading.
