The image recorder comprises means for storing image data, means for managing information concerning to image data stored in the image data storing means, means for reading out the image data sequentially from the image data storing means and recording an image corresponding to pixels on a recording medium, means for designating the image data being read out from the image data storing means, means for designating the recording position of the image on the recording medium, a storage area managing means for managing the image data storing means while dividing into a static area for storing data semi-permanently and a dynamic area for storing data temporarily, and means for determining to which area of the image data storing means the image data is stored.
