Abstract:
To suitably adjust the emphasis degree of the contour and definition of a subject included in a stereoscopic image, in accordance with the result of the depth calculation of the stereoscopic image.
If it is determined that a close-range view is focused, a contour and definition emphasis processing unit 103 improves the degree of the contour and definition emphasis. To the contrary, if it is determined that a distant view is focused, the contour and definition emphasis processing unit 103 degrades the degree of contour and definition emphasis. In the case of an image deep in field like pan focusing, the contour and definition emphasis processing unit 103 slightly degrades the degree of the contour and definition emphasis.
