Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately collect a vertical line noise outside an imaging apparatus even when a VOB part of an imaging device includes a pixel defect.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises: the imaging device which converts light to electric signals and has a perpendicular optical black part perpendicular to an effective pixel part; a determination part which determines whether the imaging apparatus is recording an image; a detection part which detects whether the perpendicular optical black part includes a defective pixel; and a controller which, when the imaging apparatus is recording an image, changes compression processing of the perpendicular optical black part depending on whether or not the detection part detects that the perpendicular optical black part includes a defective pixel.
