Abstract:
To read out a signal required for HDR combination and a signal required for phase difference detection while simultaneously suppressing a decrease in frame rate and performing highly accurate phase difference detection.SOLUTION: An image device 101 includes a pixel unit 203 including a plurality of photoelectric conversion units and is capable of selectively outputting an image signal for HDR composition and a signal for phase difference detection. A plurality of image signals with different exposures is read out for the HDR composition, and one signal is read out for the phase difference detection. Exposure of the signal for the phase difference detection is controlled according to a result of determination of brightness of the image signal by a level determination unit 207.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
