Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set operation control temperature which corresponds to an external device connected to a body section of an imaging apparatus to control operation of the imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 100 can be used by connecting with an external device such as an accessory and a lens unit 300. A temperature sensor 201 is installed in the imaging apparatus and detects temperature correlated to temperature of an exterior section of the imaging apparatus. A system control section 50 specifies the external device connected to the body section of the imaging apparatus 100, and restricts or prohibits operation (e.g. live view operation and release operation) of the imaging apparatus on the basis of the detected temperature information. A nonvolatile memory 56 stores information on operation control temperature for restricting operation of the imaging apparatus for each external device. The system control section 50 specifies the external device connected to the imaging apparatus and sets the operation control temperature corresponding to the external device to control operation of the imaging apparatus 100.
