Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004029792
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To identify media housed in an imaging apparatus by the information on the marks of the media.

The imaging apparatus 6 is provided with a body having a medium holding chamber 90 for positioning the media and a digital image photographic system 80. The system 80 has an imager 82 which has an image forming region and converts the incident light on the image forming region to an electronic signal and a first optical path 16 which forms the image of a scene in at least part of the image forming region. The optical path 128 is positioned within a medium holding chamber 90 and has a light inlet region 124 for receiving the light reflected from the marks. The path 128 transmits the light reflected from the region 124 to a light exit region 122 of the path 128. The region 122 is arranged to direct the light from the path 128 to at least part of the image forming region in such a manner that the images of the marks are formed therein.
