To provide a luminescence display device capable of compensating the threshold voltage and movement of transistors and sufficiently charging a data line.
A driving transistor for outputting a current for driving an organic electroluminescence (EL) element is formed in each pixel circuit of the organic EL display device. A 1st capacitor is connected between power supply voltage and the gate of the driving transistor and a 2nd capacitor is connected to the gate of the driving transistor and a scanning line. Voltage corresponding to a data current is stored in the 1st capacitor in response to a selection signal from the scanning line. The voltage of the 1st capacitor is changed when the level of the selection signal is changed. A driving current is outputted from the transistor by the changed voltage of the 1st capacitor and each organic EL element is emitted by the driving current. Thus the current flowing into the organic EL element as a large data current can be controlled.
