Abstract:
To provide an imaging device capable of controlling writing into a memory for achieving both imaging for maintaining a frame rate and imaging for maintaining high image quality.SOLUTION: An imaging device described in the embodiment is an imaging device capable of imaging in a first imaging mode in which maintaining a frame rate is prioritized or a second imaging mode in which maintaining image quality is prioritized. The imaging device includes: first signal processing means for sequentially acquiring image signals from an imaging element and writing the acquired image signals into storing means; and second signal processing means for reading the image signals written into the storing means and performing image processing. In the case where the data amount of the image signals written into the storing means becomes a first threshold value or more, the first signal processing means switches between writing the image signals obtained by reducing bandwidth of the image signals acquired from the imaging element into the storing means and stopping writing of the image signals acquired from the imaging element into the storing means according to whether the imaging mode is the first imaging mode or the second imaging mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
