To provide an imaging device for clipping a part of a high definition image under automatic control in which the image size does not deviate from a remarked object and the image can be clipped accurately.
The imaging device comprises an imaging means 11, a remarked point detecting means 12, a remarked point detection state acquiring means 13, and an image clipping means 23. The remarked point detecting means 12 detects a remarked point arranged at a predetermined position with respect to a remarked object among images photographed by the imaging means 11. The remarked point detection state acquiring means 13 acquires the state (e.g. error state) where the remarked point detecting means 12 detects a remarked point. The image clipping means 23 clips a part of a photographed image accurately by performing automatic alteration control of an image clip range being set for a remarked point detected by the remarked point detecting means 12 depending on the detection state of the remarked point detection state acquiring means 13.
