Character information conversion means 13 converts the specific information recognized by the information recognition means 12 to character information. Type change means 14 changes the type of the specific information recognized by the information recognition means 12. Information acquisition means 15 communicates with a server or a personal digital assistant in accordance with the character information. Information providing means 16 provides information to the vehicle driver on the basis of data obtained by the information acquisition means 15.
