Abstract:
To provide an imaging device with which, while performing live view display between continuous shooting frames, it is possible to improve a maximum frame speed and reduce power consumption when the frame speed is lowered.SOLUTION: An imaging device (100) comprises: a front blade group (4) and a rear blade group (5) for opening/closing an aperture (1a) for exposure; a front drive member (7) and a rear drive member (8) for driving the front and the rear blade groups, respectively, between the open and the closed positions of the aperture; a front drive source (24) and a rear drive source (25) for driving the front and the rear drive members, respectively; control means (209) for controlling the front and the rear drive sources; and an imaging element (203). The control means switches, on the basis of imaging conditions, between a first mode in which energization to the front drive source and energization to the rear drive source are sequentially performed before reading-out of electric charges from the imaging element is completed and a second mode in which energization to the rear drive source is performed after reading-out of electric charges from the imaging element is completed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
