Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile head gripping device for use in a construction method which includes using a concrete pile with a built-in filler port, rotating and lowering the pile while injecting pressurized water and compressed air therein to facilitate immersion of the pile, and reducing the amount of earth discharged as the result of excavation.
SOLUTION: The pile head gripping device 20 includes a ring-shaped inner flange 30 fitted with a fluid supply pipe 35. A tapered engagement part is provided so that, when the pile head gripping device is turned in the rotating direction of the pile, the inner flange 30 is pressed against the upper end plate 19 of the pile 10 via seal packing 50.
